My new « new media » is an application.
The aim of this « e-travel » app is to develop a brand-new product intended for travelers. It draws from a traditional travel guide, but it is way more than that: it is a digital network where you can buy and upload some guides. They obviously provide you interactive maps in which the traveler can be localized and activities, restaurants and bars, coffees, hotels, shops which are nearby can be found. They give you the main information about the history of the different neighborhoods.
The innovation is that it would have a social aspect as well since all the members of the e-travel community can post comments and advice about the different places that appear in the guide. Plus, this community could communicate and meet if they want to.
The e-travel guide would also grant you some special discounts and offers for some restaurants, hotels and shops. It would also give you all the hours of public transport and you can book a taxi or a table in a restaurant via the travel guide.
An internet connection is not needed to use the app (except to interact with the other people of the community), all you need to do is to upload the guide ans you are ready all set.

I like this idea. It’s unique and can be very useful for our present days because we use so much advanced technology and we all have some sort of access to a mobile device such as smartphone.
